Serious Stealing of Public Money Ongoing in NNPC ! ––Amaechi Opens Up

Rivers State governor and chairman of Nigeria Governors’ Forum, Rotimi Amaechi has alleged that there is ongoing stealing of public funds from the coffers of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).

This is as he declared that despite the decrease in funds allocated to states from the federation account, the State government is not broke and wont go borrowing to pay salaries of civil servants in the state.
The governor said, “The fact that our oil wells have been given to Bayelsa, in Soku and Abia, in Etche, it will naturally bring down our revenue. But beyond that is the stealing going on in NNPC. The president is talking about oil theft; what quantity of oil can they steal that will bring down revenue from N25 billion to N12 billion? So, the stealing is more in NNPC.
“This magazine online rated our President as the 6th richest president in Africa and he is denying it. They are not a gossip magazine, it is what they see that they present to the public. This is the first time someone is denying his ranking in the magazine. People are saying I am abusing the president, I have never abused him. The only thing is that I state the facts the way they are. It was published that our president is the 6th richest African President, it is not Amaechi.

Linda Ikeji, the Haters and Hounds !

I've always known that Linda's Blog is coming back, hence I stayed away from the saga. But I started seeing the real danger we face online when a guy sent me a mail saying OluFamous.Com is the next site to go down if I don't pay them $5,000. Who told them am next to Linda? I started active blogging on June 1, 2013, just over a year ago; Linda has been blogging for 8years. Can you see the difference?

Pls, leave us alone; open a blog, work hard and make your money. Simple! Read Dr Brimah below:
Linda Ikeji affects us all; just like the Premier league (hope that’s how it’s spelt), enough Nigerians are engaged in the LIB for those who may not, to know and appreciate that being the #2 indigenous website in Nigeria – second to Nairaland only – and the #1 news site and #1 African indigenous personality blog in history, our friends are most likely fans and addicts of hers and thus it serves as a primary means by which they are informed and we are influenced if we happen not to be readers.
The summary of the challenge that took her down (temporarily) is this tweet by a certain figure who suddenly appeared from obscurity.
"People still don't get it, this Linda issue is not about credit, it is about seeking permission before usage. Plain and simple."
The above comment was tweeted by Mr. Aye Dee on October 6th, two days after his twitter page came into existence (October 4th).
For the media publishing that the problem is Linda not giving him credit; you are wrong...
Perhaps she has in the past been attacked for not giving credit, but not so in this case, at least according to the man at the helm of it. He wanted more from Linda. He wanted her to ask him first before using anything on his TL (Time Line). He can sue me now for posting this comment he made. Yes; that’s what he goes after.

It is a problem. Am I guilty of this type of “plagiarism?” yes I am. I have posted comments and pictures from people’s TL’s giving them credit but not asking them for permission first. Do I intend to start seeking permission first? H’ no. Sue me. I can’t waste the time emailing you and waiting for your response. By that time the news will be expired. It is simply ridiculous except where the person has explicitly stated that “no copying my stuff;” like Punch, shall I leave it be. Else I will copy and post in good faith and with credit given.

It can be recalled that recently, in December of 2013, PremiumTimes called out all major Nigerian dallies for plagiarism. All the flagship dailies were accused of publishing an Obasanjo letter that PremiumTimes claimed to have been the exclusive recipients of. [See: Obasanjo’s letter exposes Nigerian newspapers ethical flaws] These respected dailies did not even attribute the letter to PremiumTimes; but yet PremiumTimes was mature about it and only publicly embarrassed them for not crediting them with the story.

In the attack against the LIB, I see hate, envy, jealousy and desperation. I am not her greatest fan, but I call it as I see it. Her accuser claims to run “15 Past 8” media. He was unknown till this episode that has given him a taste of “fame.” His media is clearly the owner of “9jalife.com” another unknown website; as can be seen on both sites. On 9jalife.com there are tons of images; the images you and I know. Those images we pull off of websites, that have been pulled off of other websites so many times we don’t know who really owns them and never bothered to find out.

I challenge Mr. Aye Dee, owner of 9jalife.com to prove to us and some of us who own the tons of images on 9jalife.com that he requested and received the right to use the images.

You see, I would appreciate if a person of character brings a hard working Nigerian down; who clearly earned her respect and position; but when a desperado throws the tire to mob lynch a commoner, I am irritated. Be a man, throw tires on Goodluck, on Diezani. The crooks who have stolen our entire human rights and our billions (USD) for our survival. Sue the Nigerian government who have stolen our pride and global respect… who have stolen the lives of thousands of our loved ones and who have gotten our daughters abducted for 160 days to be raped by their “siblings” agents of their politician, clergy and military partners. But no; rather you hound a hard working respected Nigerian who earned most of what she has and claim to be Mr. Righteous? These are the Nigerians who the tires on Aluu4 because they made some errors, then walked to receive a bag of rice and voted-in indicted criminal Fayose.

Mr. Aye Dee whose real name is Mukhtar Dan’Iyan according to his PremiumTimes interview is also associated with a certain Emmanuel Efremov has been proven the registerer of the domain name, “LindaIkeji.net.” I checked the whois to confirm this. This is cybersquatting and a crime. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cybersquatting

After stuff got exposed, they quickly redirected Lindaikeji.net to Linda’s blog to cover their utility of her name over the years to make change.

In the PremiumTimes exclusive interview he was accorded for Lord knows what reasons, he admitted that the so-called Mr. Emmanuel Efremov was a director of his 15 Past 8 “media.” So Mr. Aye Dee’s directors are potentially criminal cybersquatters who live off of the good fortune of hard working people like the very Linda Ikeji; making earnings from advert clicks they get from people who miss their road while searching for the Linda they “hate’ so much’s blog.

I have a job for Mr. Aye Dee and Mr. Emmanuel Efremov. If you are not already working for the Presidency… I bet Goodluck Jonathan would be happy to hire them. They totally fit the Reuben Abati; Reno Omokri; Doyin Okupe profile of shameless, crooked and lying do-anything-to-make-it hounds.

Plagiarism and copyright theft is serious; but it is as serious to protect those accused as the accuser and deserves credible claims and claimants.

Now report me.

Pastor takes female member for Abortion after Impregnating her ?

If parents can no longer trust their teenage daughters with their pastors, then what kind of society are we running here? I guess folks who have no business in the clergy are getting in by hook or crook. How sad!

As you read this, a pastor in Enugu State has been arrested by the Police for allegedly impregnating a female member of his ministry and went a step further to force the girl to abort the pregnancy.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, who confirmed the alleged crime committed by the Pastor, said:
“A pastor in charge of Hospital Chapel Ministry located at Obollo Eke in Udenu LGA of Enugu State and identified as Pastor Friday Onuh has said that he never impregnated one Miss Favour Onah and took her to a patent medicine dealer to abort the baby as alleged by the parents of the girl.
“The pastor had allegedly impregnated the girl, a worshipper in his church and took her to a patent medicine dealer at Ikem in Isiuzo Local Government Area of the state.
“It was reported that severe complications resulted from the abortion and that she is currently lying ill at a hospital.”
Pastor Friday Onuh is currently under investigation.

I Will Defend RichestLifestyle’s Claims about Jonathan’s Wealth !

A global magazine, RichestLifestyle.com recently published that the President of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is the 6th wealthiest African head of State. The magazine claimed that Goodluck Jonathan, known for his claim of having no shoes, now had a whooping 100 Million dollars estimated to his name.

In response, the Nigerian President threatened as published in the Vanguard of Wednesday 8th October, that all of us who re-broadcast that assertion should either retract it or be prepared to face him in court. Quoted:

“The clear and unacceptable imputation of the claim that President Jonathan is now worth about $100 Million is that the President has corruptly enriched himself while in office which is certainly not the case. We therefore demand a retraction and an unreserved apology from Richest Lifestyle.com and all those who have reproduced the offensive article. Otherwise, they should be prepared to substantiate their libelous claims against the President in courts of law within and outside Nigeria.”
I hereby categorically provide myself and the ENDS organization ready to defend all those who re-broadcast and re-published this information. We stand ready to face President Goodluck Jonathan in court and ready to substantiate the claims against his amassed wealth...

Finally, China overtakes America as World’s Largest Economy

According to the International Monetary Fund, IMF, China has overtaken the United States as the world’s largest economy. The IMF estimates that the size of the US economy is $17.4tr, while the Chinese economy comes in at $17.6tr, Business Insider reports. China’s share of the global economy is 16.48 per cent, while the United States accounts for 16.28 per cent, the IMF said Tuesday as part of its outlook for the world economic growth.
These figures are adjusted for the relative costs of living in both countries, known as “purchasing power parity.”
In 2005, Chinese economy was less than half the size of US economy. Today, the story has changed.

Why Jonathan may Lose As Incumbent President in 2015 ?

For those who are upbeat about the chances of the incumbent President Goodluck Jonathan winning re-election if he decides to run, I have bad news for them. The President may not only lose in 2015, he could lose by a landslide even with the incumbency factor perceived to be in his favour. Let’s even consider a massive defeat of an incumbent impossibility; he could still be edged out by a narrow margin.
Indeed all evidence point to the first shocking defeat of an incumbent in a presidential election in the country. For the first time ever, it seems the incumbency effect may not matter. While I acknowledge the usual arguments about the incumbent advantage; 2015 may yet prove to be an exception.

Why do I think so? If the supporters of the President can just sit back and remove the scale of sycophancy from their eyes and honestly assess the situation in the country, they will see that in a free and fair election, the President does not stand a chance. I think they may be in for a rude shock.
Those who fancy an easy win for Jonathan may have failed to appreciate the enormity of the challenges stacked against his re-election...

Another $5.7m Arms Cash seized in SA?

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has asked President Goodluck Jonathan to urgently address Nigerians on the serial embarrassments to which his administration is subjecting the country in the comity of nations, after another seizure of $5.7 million of Nigerian arms money by the South African authorities.

In a statement issued on Tuesday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party said the issues surrounding the first seizure of $9.3 million have yet to be resolved before this latest scandal, wondering why the government would want to turn Nigeria to a rogue nation by taking ownership of money laundering and other acts of illegality, thus devaluing the currency of every Nigerian.
"Again, Mr. President, Nigerians are urging you to please come clean over these cash-for-arms scandals. They want you to answer critical questions on the legality of your administration's repeated conduct. Nigerians want to know the identities of the two Nigerians who were arrested with an Israeli in South Africa over the first illegal deal, especially since the Israeli has been named.
